Just a Little About Me and My Books
Getting to Know Me
I'm originally from South Carolina and currently resides in Savannah, Georgia. I have been writing poetry and short stories for most of my life but fell in love with creative writing in college. Learning to Take Control is the second novel in a three-part series.
My full-time job is being an educator with a degree in English and a master's in education. I also has credentials in screenwriting. While I am trained in and teaches writing, my passion is developing strong characters and building real-life, relatable worlds around them. In my spare time, I love to read, create graphic designs, and spend time with my Siamese cat, Mickie.
Learning Series
My debut novel, Leaning to Love is the first in a series of three. It follows the journey of Sara Oliver. Book one shares her tragic past and what she went through to find herself. Book two joins her a year later as she explores her newfound freedom but thrusts her into more than she expected. Book three (which will be released in the fall of 2023) will bring Sara to what she has always wanted - her happily ever after.

A story about abuse, loss, trauma, and above all else self love. This book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. With beautifully written words, it’s hard not to fall in love with the main character and her journey of growth and strength. Highly recommended!
